West Iceland Self Drive - 5 Nights
On this tour you will have time to visit the innumerable islands of Breiðafjörður, go whale watching or snowmobiling on the snow-capped volcano of Snæfellsnes. The national park of Snæfellsnes offers a large variety of hiking trails, one more beautiful than the other.
The Western part of Iceland is a spectacular area. Snæfellsnes peninsula is famous for its glacier, Snæfellsjökull mentioned by Jules Verne in his novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and the countless islands in the Breiðafjörður bay with its colourful bird and sea life. The area has an interesting folklore and tales of adventure as many of the Icelandic sagas took place in the area. Visit the popular Saga Settlement Centre in Borgarfjordur, the Reykjanes peninsula and the famous Blue Lagoon
