On arrival at Keflavik International airport you will meet our representatives and they will transfer you to your hotel in the Capital Reykjavik. You will stay in a 3* hotel within easy reach of the cities attractions and have facilities like Satellite TV. All rooms have a private en-suite bathroom and breakfast is served each morning. After check-in the rest of the day is free for you to start discover beautiful Reykjavik.

On day 2 you will have most of the day to explore Reykjavik at your leisure. We will then pick you up in the late afternoon, we set off from Reykjavik, and we drive through the beautiful UNESCO site Þingvellir National Park on our way to Laugarvatn Fontana where you have the option to buy dinner at their restaurant for an additional cost.

Fontana has three steam rooms built over a natural hot spring and a traditional sauna along with four different hot pools. The more adventurous travellers can take a dip in Lake Laugarvatn (when accessible) and cool down between the steam baths and sauna. The steam temperatures range between 40°C and 50°C (104°F and 122°F), depending on the temperature of the hot springs and the weather.

The steam rooms create a unique experience since you can smell the natural hot water boiling underneath the grids on the floor. The traditional sauna has lower humidity than the steam rooms, but the temperature is higher, between 80°C and 90°C (176°F and 194°F). The three connected outdoor mineral baths vary in depth, size and temperature. It is the perfect setting to relax and socialise. From the baths, you can see a panoramic view of the countryside around Fontana and the northern lights dancing in the sky if you are lucky and they show up early.

On our way back to Reykjavík, we go on a northern lights hunt, one of Iceland's most unforgettable sights. Our team of experts studies the northern lights and cloud forecasts to find the best spot for a sighting but since the northern lights are a natural phenomenon, sightings can not be guaranteed. Day 3 We head out to the Reykjanes Geopark which is located on a peninsula divided between two continents. This unique placement of the Reykjanes Peninsula on the drift zone between the North American and the Eurasian continental plates makes it a true Volcanic Wonder.

We start the day by exploring one of the most iconic features of the Icelandic volcanic landscape, the boiling mud pools of Seltún, and the steaming colourful surrounding landscape.

As we drive along the Reykjanes peninsula, you are constantly in the presence of the roaring Atlantic Ocean, endless lava fields, and volcanic craters. An alien landscape, decorated by windblown palagonite and petrified troll formations.

Next up in our adventure is the youngest volcano in Iceland, Fagradalsfjall Volcano, and the surrounding lava fields. The hike up to the craters takes about 40 minutes, where you will be able to explore the devastating yet beautiful aftermath of this recent volcanic eruption.

After the volcano hike, we stop by the bridge between continents, where you can walk between the continental plates that divide the peninsula. This stop underlines this unique placement directly on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

Before dropping you off at the Blue Lagoon, we stop by the largest mud pool in Iceland, Gunnuhver. You can feel the ground shake from the enormous power released from the boiling water and steam released.

Soak up in the warm and comfortable Blue Lagoon, one of the wonders of the world. The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland's most famous tourist attractions and considered by many to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as well as an unmissable part of any visit to Iceland.

The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy lava field, offering incredible scenery, with state of the art facilities, a unique atmosphere and silica masks and water that make your skin extra firm, yet incredibly soft! For these reasons and many more, visitors from all over the world visit the Blue Lagoon daily, and many return here again and again.

The Blue Lagoon Comfort Package

When selecting the Blue Lagoon Comfort Package you receive entrance to the Blue Lagoon, silica mud mask, use of a towel, and a drink of your choice. After having enjoyed all that the Blue Lagoon has to offer, you return to Reykjavík, the bus from Blue Lagoon to Reykjavík is at 20:15.

Should you wish not to take the hike to Volcano, you can choose to just visit the Blue Lagoon.

Day 4 and we take you on a combo tour which offers you the chance to experience Iceland´s rugged southern coast, famous for its diverse landscape featuring waterfalls, glaciers and black sand beaches. After the wild tour of the coast´s highlights, refresh and renew with a visit to Iceland´s newest and hugely popular Sky Lagoon spa.

Heading out of Reykjavik we join the famous Route 1 highway and journey east of the city along the idyllic southern coastline. Our guides will enlighten and entertain you along the way. Your first stop of the day is to Skógafoss waterfall, an immense and powerful waterfall fed by the river Skógá river. If you are feeling energetic you can climb the 370 steps to the top to get a a bird´s eye view and another perspective. It is just as impressive from the ground and you can fells the mist and spray from the waterfall from a distance.

After a short stop in the little town of Vík, our next stop is to Reynisfjara beach, the wild north Atlantic waves crashing on the black beach and shadowed by the majestic basalt cliff columns. According to local folklore, these basalt columns are the remains of trolls who ventured out one night too close to the dawn and were frozen by the rays of the rising sun. This beach is the most famous of its kind in Iceland and perhaps the world. It derives its black hue from ancient volcanic eruptions when molten lava from Katla collided with sea water. The lava cooled and broke into sand instantaneously.

We continue on to Sólheimajökull, a glacier tongue of the larger Mýdalsjökull. We will take a short walk to the glacier where you can see the effects that the global warming has had on the ice here. The glacier has retreated hundreds of meters in the past decade leaving behind a glacier lagoon in its wake. If conditions allow, your guide will get you up close and personal with the glacier and you will be able to touch this impressive but retreating glacier.

Our final stop of the day will be at the renowned Seljalandafoss waterfall. This is the perfect photo opportunity especially if you take the trail that leads behind the waterfall. Just beware that this can be a wet experience so we recommend that you wear resistant clothing.

We then head back to Reykjavik and stop at the Sky Lagoon, Iceland´s newest hot-spring bathing lagoon. Closer to the city and less crowded than the Blue Lagoon, your stop here is the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax after your long day on Iceland´s wild and windy southern coast. This immersive cross between a swimming pool and thermal spa rests on a small cliff overlooking a bay creating an infinity pool effect.

Day 5 and you have a free day to explore Reykjavik, visit the galleries and museums or maybe head out into the bay to try and see the Whales.

Day 6 and we escape to the serenity of Hvammsvík Hot Spring on this half-day tour, leaving the city behind for a few hours of pure natural beauty and relaxation

Hvammsvík is a hidden gem among Iceland's tourist attractions. This captivating geothermal spa is conveniently situated less than an hour's drive from the capital, in a serene fjord surrounded by unspoiled nature.

You can enjoy an array of eight distinct hot springs with diverse temperatures and a steam cave beckons the intrepid traveller is a location nestled amidst the ocean, mountains, and abundant wildlife, these hot springs harmoniously ebb and flow with the tides and changing seasons. Some pools are embraced by high tide, ensuring a fresh experience with every visit. There are also inviting outdoor relaxation zones, and state-of-the-art amenities. The facilities, changing rooms, and pools echo Hvammsvik's rich history, tracing back to the 12th century.

Geothermal waters, sourced 1400 meters beneath, merge seamlessly with the Atlantic's saline embrace. The continuous flow between pools ensures optimal water purity and hygiene.

Day 7 and it is our classic Golden Circle day tour with Secret Lagoon entrance which covers all of the main stops on the Golden Circle Route. First we stop at the Kerið Volcanic Crater Lake. Kerið is a 3000-years old, varicolored volcanic crater. Many visitors go there to admire its perfect conical shape with a beautiful appearance, decorated with maroon volcanic rock and black sediment stripes. The blue lake at the bottom of the crater is the centre of attention.

Paved walking paths are available for close exploration, as you can either walk around the rim of the crater for a panoramic view and its sense of vicinity, or you can follow the path to the bottom of the crater for a nice walk around the crater lake. Its perfect conical shape is due to a collapse of the magma chamber onto itself after the lava depleted during its  eruption.

We then head to the Secret Lagoon of Iceland. As the oldest geothermal swimming pool in Iceland, the Secret Lagoon has been a local hotspot since its establishment in 1891. The Gamla Laugin, which translates into the ‘old pool,’ has always been a favourable place to enjoy some relaxing time.

Now a popular tourist attraction, the pool has been renovated to welcome more visitors, with steam vents contrasting against the fascinating panoramic landscape views nearby. You can take your time relaxing in the warm water and serene ambiance before we hop on our bus, for our next destination, which for many will be the highlight, the Geysir Geothermal Area.

It’s safe to say that Iceland is powered by geothermal energy, and the Geysir Geothermal Field is the best example to demonstrate that! As you step on the walking path, your senses come alive as you are immediately greeted by the sulphuric smell, and bubbling mud pools in a land of mysterious steam vents, and dynamic, gushing hot springs.

The star of the show is the Strokkur Geyser which erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, reaching up to 20 meters in the sky. The nearby Great Geysir used to be active, until its underground conduit was blocked. Now it is a peaceful depth of blue water, with a unique, serene beauty in contrast to the dynamic Strokkur. The English word, geyser, is coined because of the Great Geysir. You can also find a visitor centre close by with nice lunch options and a great selection of souvenirs.

Then it is back on the bus and after a short drive, we will reach Iceland’s most famous waterfall, aka Gullfoss, the Golden Falls. The astonishing waterfall’s wide cascade drops in two stages, the first 11 meters then 21 meters, roaring and tumbling down to the canyon, splashing up a massive screen of mist.

There are walking paths in the upper and lower level, allowing visitors to admire the waterfall from different levels and angles. Gollfoss’s voluminous water is from Hvítá, the White River, which originates from Iceland’s second-largest glacier, Langjökull.

We then make our final stop at Thingvellir, a unique location, home to multiple highlights of Iceland,  significant in both Iceland’s culture and geology. Alþing, Iceland’s parliament, was established by the Vikings here in 930 AD, and is also the world’s first parliament.

In 2004, Thingvellir was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it holds the unique ability to allow people to walk through a rift valley that sits on the divergent edge between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The splitting part is the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, and its only visible section is found in Iceland, with the rest submerged in the ocean. Öxaráfoss waterfall cuts through the walking path with its beautiful drop streaming down the deck.

Almannagjá is the largest fissure in Thingvellir National Park, which will guide you through the path of the Vikings, to the parliament site, and then reach the panoramic viewpoint of Hakið. In winter after darkness drops, if you are lucky you can see the Northern Lights dancing over the national park, a unique natural live show!

During this exciting full-day tour, you not only get the chance to explore all major highlights of the Golden Circle but also to immerse yourself like a local in the healing hot springs of the Secret Lagoon of Iceland. A wonderful experience that can’t be missed!

After learning about Icelandic culture, exploring nature, and experiencing the traditional geothermal bath, we will wrap up the day and drive back to Reykjavik.

On your last day after check out from the hotel we transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight back to the UK.
