Iceland Escape – Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle, Sky Lagoon & Northern Lights

Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik

On arrival at Keflavik International Airport, you will be met by our representatives and transferred to your hotel in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Your 3-star hotel will be located within easy reach of the city’s main attractions and will include facilities such as satellite TV, en-suite bathrooms, and breakfast served each morning.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to begin exploring Reykjavik at your own pace. Whether you choose to walk along the harbour, visit the striking Hallgrímskirkja Church, or simply unwind in a cosy local café, Reykjavik offers a warm welcome.

Day 2: Blue Lagoon & Northern Lights Experience

This morning is dedicated to relaxation as you visit one of Iceland’s most iconic sites, the Blue Lagoon. Situated in a striking lava field, the lagoon’s milky-blue waters are rich in minerals and known for their revitalising properties. The modern spa facilities, combined with the surrounding natural beauty, make this an unforgettable experience.

With your Comfort Package, you’ll enjoy entry to the lagoon, a silica mud mask, use of a towel, and a drink of your choice. Spend time soaking in the warm geothermal water, exploring the different pools, and enjoying the serene surroundings.

After returning to Reykjavik in the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax or enjoy dinner before being picked up for your Northern Lights Tour later in the evening. Led by expert English-speaking guides, this tour takes you out of the city in search of the elusive Aurora Borealis. Using up-to-date forecasts and years of local experience, your guide will take you to where sightings are most likely. If the lights do not appear, you can join the tour again free of charge on the next available night.

Day 3: Golden Circle & Secret Lagoon

Today, you’ll embark on one of Iceland’s most popular excursions—the Golden Circle Tour, showcasing three of the country’s most stunning natural sites.

Þingvellir National Park

A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of the world’s oldest parliament, Þingvellir is also where the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia slowly pull apart. This rift valley, set beside Iceland’s largest natural lake, offers dramatic views and a deep sense of historical significance.

Geysir Hot Springs

The geothermal area of Geysir is a highlight of the Golden Circle. Here, you’ll witness Strokkur, an active geyser that erupts every few minutes, shooting hot water high into the air. The surrounding landscape of bubbling mud pools and steaming vents is a powerful reminder of Iceland’s volcanic energy.

Gullfoss Waterfall

Next is Gullfoss, or "Golden Falls", a breathtaking double cascade that plunges into a deep canyon carved by glacial waters. On a clear day, you may catch sight of Langjökull, Iceland’s second-largest glacier, in the distance.

Secret Lagoon

Your final stop today is the Secret Lagoon, a naturally heated hot spring pool nestled in the small village of Flúðir. At a consistent temperature of 38–40°C, it’s a perfect way to relax after a day of sightseeing. Surrounded by steaming vents and even a small erupting geyser, the Secret Lagoon has long been a hidden gem enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

Day 4: Sky Lagoon & The Ritual Experience

Your final full day in Iceland begins with a visit to the Sky Lagoon, a luxurious geothermal spa on the edge of the ocean, just minutes from central Reykjavik. This new addition to Iceland’s spa scene draws inspiration from traditional bathing culture and dramatic natural elements.

Your visit includes The Ritual, a seven-step spa journey designed to refresh and rejuvenate. The sequence includes:

  • Relax in the warm lagoon with ocean views and distant mountains
  • Cool down in the cold plunge pool to stimulate circulation
  • Warm up in the sauna, with panoramic windows overlooking the Atlantic
  • Refresh in the cold mist room to balance the heat
  • Apply the Sky Body Scrub, exfoliating and energising your skin
  • Steam room session, to enhance the hydrating and therapeutic effects
  • Shower and return to the lagoon, where you’ll soak in the benefits of the ritual

Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and, with some luck, you may even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights as they dance across the sky. The Lagoon Bar offers refreshments for those who wish to linger a little longer.

Afterwards, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel to enjoy your final evening in Reykjavik.

Day 5: Departure Day
