Looking for an unforgettable short break? Our 3 or 4-night Northern Lights getaway is a fantastic way to try and catch one of nature’s most spectacular shows. You’ll fly from the UK and stay in a 3-star hotel in Reykjavik, with breakfast included.
On your first night—or whichever night suits you best—you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken out in search of the Northern Lights. Your English-speaking guide will have carefully checked the weather and conditions to find the best possible viewing spot. You’ll leave the city lights behind and head into the Icelandic countryside, where the chances of seeing the Aurora are highest.
The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, are an incredible natural phenomenon. Caused by particles from the sun interacting with the Earth’s atmosphere near the poles, they light up the sky with moving waves of green, pink, and purple. It’s a sight you’ll never forget.
Of course, sightings depend on the weather, and while we can’t guarantee you’ll see the lights on your first try, don’t worry—if you don’t catch them, you can join the tour again on another night, free of charge.
