North Iceland Self Drive - 7 Nights
If you are interested in exploring the magical Mývatn area and the historical sites of Tröllaskagi peninsula, this tour is perfect for you. During the tour you can take a relaxing bath at the Mývatn natural geothermal baths, go whale watching from Húsavík harbour or visit the islands of Grimsey and Hrisey. Northern Iceland is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Iceland. The landscape is a fascinating collage of lakes, mountains, plains, rivers and lava deserts. The volcanic zone covers a large part of the area, offering spectacular sights such as volcanoes, craters and high temperature areas, as well as the vastest lava area in Iceland. See Skagafjordur with its horses and old turf farms, explore Akureyri, the capital of Northern Iceland and see waterfalls like Goðafoss and Gullfoss.
