When we say adventure, we mean adventure. On this tour you’ll see the sights of the Golden Circle, Snowmobile across a Glacier and hike across one, descend in a Lava cave and an Ice Cave deep inside the ice and you’ll see the sights of the South Coast.

Day 2 After breakfast we visit the south-coast of Iceland and go hiking on a glacier then visit the incredible waterfalls of Skógar and Seljalandsfoss on one of the must-do day tours from Reykjavík. The tour starts with a drive through the Hellisheiði mountain pass bringing you through moss covered lava fields and past geothermal springs down to farmland along the beautiful southern coastline.

First stop will be the rugged Sólheimajökull Glacier. Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier that flows from main ice-cap of Mýrdalsjökull where the mighty Katla Volcano rests. You will walk on the glacier, wearing special crampons on your shoes and explore the amazing cracks; crevasses and ice expertly lead by a certified glacier guide.

Along the way we pass by fertile farming lands and pass by small villages seated at the bases of infamous Eyjafjallajökull & Hekla Volcanoes dwell with their all-powerful presence. On clear days you will also have a great view of the Westman Islands where the renowned volcanoes lie, which caused the islander’s great troubles in the 1970’s.

The Solheim Glacier is a magnificent and humbling site to behold, it is a glacial tongue extension of the Myrdalsjökull glacier. When we arrive there, you will be outfitted by the Guides with all the necessary equipment for hiking and exploring the cracks and crevasses of the glacier.

Along the return trip to Reykjavik, we will stop at the powerful 65 meter tall Skógafoss Waterfall where a short walk up a flight of steps will reveal one of Iceland´s most scenic views of glaciers, volcanoes and black sandy beaches. With viewpoints both above and directly next to the waterfall, photographers will have plenty of chances to capture that unique shot.

The Seljalandsfoss waterfall is for many guests the highlight of this trip, as you can walk along this waterfall offering a completely unique perspective!

Day 3 After breakfast we visit the lava tunnel Raufarhólshellir located only 30 minutes from Reykjavík. We will witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption while we walk in the path of lava that flowed thousands of years ago. The lava tunnel is one of the biggest in Iceland and gets up to 30 metres wide and 10 metres high. The lava tube ceiling has caved in near the entrance, which creates beautiful columns of light. The fantastic range of colours of the tunnel wall is caused by the different mineral types of the rock.

This is a tour for the senses. Experience a new world, hear the talk of the cave and sense the forces of nature like you have never done before. Learn new things and step out of your comfort zone. Scenes from the Hollywood movie Noah, with Anthony Hopkins, were shot in this lava cave.

You walk around 350 metres into the lava tunnel and the temperature in the cave is around 4 degrees although it can be warmer outside and usually water leaks from the ceiling when it rains and snows so we recommend raincoats.

Heading back to Reykjavik you’ll have the chance to relax for a while before meeting us down by the Old Harbour for this evening, you’re going to have to catch your own dinner.

We set off from Reykjavik’s Old Harbour and head out to fishing areas in Faxaflói Bay, where our experienced crew will usually spot fish in a flash! If you have never been sea fishing before, don’t worry – it is very easy! Our crew will happily show you the ropes, advising you on bait and passing on their knowledge of the seas.

On our sea angling trips you have a good chance of catching cod, haddock, rockfish and pollock. Our sea angling tours are perfectly suited both to experienced fishermen and to those who simply wish to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a fishing rod in hand.

We grill your catch on board & serve it with potatoes and sauce!

Day 4 Join us for the ultimate snowmobile and Glacier Ice cave adventure. Iceland is known for its big glaciers, high waterfalls and erupting geyser, on this tour you will witness it all in one day.

Your day starts early in Reykjavik, where you board our comfortable bus and set off to see the top attractions in Iceland. The tour is led by a personal making sure your experience is informative and fun at the same time.

Your first stop will be a Þingvellir national park where the oldest parliament in the world was founded and the tectonic plates are pulling apart every day.

Þingvellir National Park

Located on the northern shores of Þingvallavatn, Iceland's largest lake, Þingvellir is the national pride of Iceland and the first National Park. It is, for one, a key location in Icelandic history as the oldest existing parliament in the world first assembled there in 930 AD. For this reason, Þingvellir has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is, therefore, a protected national park due to its unique geology and natural features. From the viewing area the Almannagjá canyon between two tectonic plates can be seen, a visual representation of continental drift.

From Þingvellir you will drive through lush lava fields and farmlands until the earth starts to tremble and steam rises from the ground at Geysir geothermal area. You will have around one hour to take in the beautiful scenery at Geysir and witness Strokkur erupting few times.

Geysir Hot Springs

A favourite stop along the Golden Circle is the highly active Geysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 meters into the air every few minutes. The area became active more than 1000 years ago and comprises more than a dozen hot spring holes. Although you can only see steam emerging from the surface of Geysir these days, its name was adopted to represent spouting hot springs all over the world.

We then continue to Gullfoss Waterfall. Gullfoss waterfall is the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, where the water rushes down a narrow canyon with indescribable force, painting the air with a glittering mist.

As one of the most popular attractions in all of Iceland, Gullfoss is a waterfall located in the Canyon of the Hvítá River in the southwest of the country. The beautiful Hvítá river rushes southward in three steps into a narrow canyon with a breath-taking roar and grandeur. Furthermore, on clear days the magnificent Langjökull glacier, Iceland's second largest glacier, can be seen in the distance. Guests may use the restroom and purchase food and refreshments at this location as well.

You complete your day with a super truck ride up to Langjökull glacier, the second largest glacier in Europe. Once you have reached the glacier’s edge you will gear up and set off for an unforgettable snowmobile ride on top of the glacier, stopping at and visiting a manmade ice cave. The crystal-like glacier ice underneath thick layers of snow is a sight you will never forget.

After walking under the glacier you will ride your snowmobile back to the warm glacier hut to be taken back to Gullfoss waterfall, where you board the bus again for a comfortable ride back to Reykjavik after a day of amazing adventures.

On your last day after check out from the hotel we transfer you back to the airport to catch your flight back to the UK.

Prices are based on 2 sharing and are based on London departures but we can offer this tour from the regional airports that serve Iceland. We can also offer this deal staying in your hotel of choice and upgrade to a 4* or we can offer apartments if you prefer. Please enquire.
