Flights depart from London to Keflavik International and from here you will stay 4 Nights in a 3* or 4* hotel in Reykjavik on a room only basis.
On the night of your choice you’ll be picked up from the hotel and taken out in search of the Northern Lights on our guided tour.
Search for the rare and elusive northern lights (Aurora Borealis) in the skies around Reykjavík on this all-time winter bestseller! For many, seeing the Northern Lights is the reason to travel to our northern island in winter. They are mesmerizing, and a sight that will not be forgotten.
It is simple, nothing says “Icelandic Winter” like the idea of hunting for the Aurora Borealis. Created by solar storms originating from the sun, the Northern Lights need clear winter skies to be seen.
The expert operational team has decades of experience analysing weather patterns. We will review, each and every day, the cloud forecast and the northern lights forecast in detail. We will not venture out in search of them unless we think we have good chance. This means we have a high success ratio.
All our northern lights tours are guided by one of our specially trained northern lights guides, they are both knowledgeable and helpful and will even give you tips on how to take photos of the night sky and of aurora. We offer free use of camera tripods (a must to take northern lights photos), we only have a few so if you own a tripod be sure to bring it along.
Whilst in Iceland why not book extra excursions and see the wonders the country has to offer such as the Golden Circle tour, Whale Watching or the famous Blue Lagoon.
You will then head west to Toronto where on arrival you will spend 2 nights on one of Canada’s most exciting cities which stands on the shores of Lake Ontario and has a whole host of attractions including the CN Tower, the tallest free standing structure in North America at over 500 metres tall.
There is also the Art Gallery of Ontario which is the largest galley in Canada, The Royal Ontario Museum, The Ontario Science Centre, the World Class Toronto Zoo or the Toronto Aerospace Museum. Also not to be missed is the Rogers Centre, formerly the Skydome, home to the Blue Jays and Argonauts. The Lakefront and Harbourfront area offers great walks and wonderful views and shopping in Toronto is first rate with underground malls keeping the weather at bay.
Food wise Toronto is considered to be one of North America’s finest and as one of the most multicultural cities in the world the choice is vast. Nightlife centres around the Clubland and Fashion District areas with Adelaide and Queens Street packed with pubs, bars and clubs.
You will then board the train at Union Station for the trip down to one of the great natural wonders of the world Niagara Falls. Here, you'll be treated to a 2 night stay where you will have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the wonders of the area. From the allure of the falls themselves to the many attractions and activities that surround the falls, there is plenty to keep you busy.
See the Whirlpool Rapids, take the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This exhilarating boat ride takes you to the base of the majestic Horseshoe Falls where you experience the magnitude and power of the thundering waters. Enjoy Niagara-on-the-Lake, you will enjoy a leisurely walk allowing you to soak up the town's rich history and heritage. You can visit one of the local winery, where you can sample some of Ontario's finest wines.
Following your captivating stay in Niagara Falls, embark on a scenic Amtrak train journey through the American countryside to the bustling metropolis of New York. Settle into your Manhattan hotel, which will serve as your base for the next 3 nights. From iconic landmarks to unparalleled shopping experiences, the city has it all. In a city that never sleeps it’s difficult to know where to start with wonderful restaurants from every corner of the world or more simple superb street food. Maybe the bars and clubs of trendy Soho and the meatpacker district, Central Park or one of the many, many landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building plus so much more and that’s without mentioning the bridges, the rivers, the museums and the cultural mix of the Bronx or Brooklyn.
