When it comes to health, fitness and relaxation then Virgin have you covered. The B-Complex allows you to work out on state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. The multipurpose fitness studio offering everything from Bungee classes to BARRE, a cycling studio where going for a spin doesn’t cost a thing. Take a jog around the red runway, a 255m-ish halo like track over the ship.

The Spa offers a great range of treatments and massages, the thermal Suite includes a mud room, salt room, sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, and heated marble hammam benches. The Perch is located at the top of the ship on Deck 17 and is a charming and serene outdoor space  where every morning starts with sunrise yoga, and when the day draws to a close, The Perch transforms into a space for intimate, social gatherings where you can connect with other Sailors with a sunset backdrop and a glass of champagne.

Virgin have created the Aquatic Club, a pool deck with the sophisticated glam of a contemporary yacht. Perfect to sunbathe on one of the daybeds or take a dip on the pool.

The Cruise 

This 10-night excursion setting sail from Portsmouth first docks in Amsterdam for two full days of exploring, then sails to Bergen, Norway and Lerwick, Scotland. Next, you’ll head to the magical island of Iceland – where you’ll dock in Akureyri and Reykjavik – the land of fire and ice that’s loaded with opportunities for outdoor adventure and brilliant vistas.

Leaving Portsmouth we set course for Amsterdam,  a city that needs no introduction. Its reputation for fun, natural and architectural beauty, and history, speaks for itself. Explore its legendary coffee shop and nightlife scene, enjoy its beautiful canal network, check out museums like the Anne Frank Museum and the Rijksmuseum, and strolling through the tulip gardens of Hortus Botanicus.

We then head for Norway and Bergen, a city nestled between seven mountains, seven fjords and the North Sea. The Norwegian King resided here, and many historical events took place in this busy port. Stroll down the old streets of Bryggen, past picturesque, wooden buildings and the Romanesque-style St. Mary's church. 

Next we head for the  Shetland Islands, this rugged part of Scotland that’s made up of nearly 100 small islands and Lerwick offers a lively and welcoming ambiance with plenty to see and do. You’ll find miles of pristine beaches surrounded by towering cliffs and impressive rock formations. The archipelago is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

We then set sail for Iceland and first stop is Akureyri, the nation's second largest urban area and a centre of Icelandic folk culture. Akureyri sits along the shores of one of the most breath-taking fjords in Iceland, Akureyri is the nation's second largest urban area and a centre of Icelandic folk culture. Visit the museums or explore the botanical gardens. Shop in one of the charming boutiques and feast on some Nordic specialities like smoked lamb and fresh fish.

Heading westwards we come to Ísafjörður, the largest town in Iceland's remote Westfjords's region, Ísafjörður is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts, boasting a stunning fjord ideal for watersports and a mountainous landscape brimming with opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding and more.  Originally a church site and a 16th century trading post, the town of Ísafjörður is home to wonderful museums and historic sites.

We then make our final stop in the world's most northerly capital Reykjavik, a city filled with exciting museums, a flourishing music scene and restaurants that rival Europe's finest. It’s also the main staging post for plenty of the most spectacular scenery Iceland as to offer.

Leaving the Scarlet Lady behind, make your way to your hotel, the 4* Thingholt by Centerhotels or similar when you’ll stay for a further 3 nights with breakfast included each morning. 

This stylish and original hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Reykjavik’s main shopping street, Laugavegur. A free internet computer is found in the lobby. The hotel's Ísafold Restaurant offers a combination of Icelandic and internationally inspired dishes. The bar features a hip atmosphere for enjoying cocktails.

Ísafold Spa is a carefully designed wellness retreat that provides a comfortable and relaxing environment. Spacious hot tub, along with a steam bath, a relaxation area next to the hot tub and dressing rooms. A massage room is located at the spa offering an excellent selection of massage treatments. There is also a small fitness room available.

At Thingholt by Centerhotels, the individually designed rooms feature a minibar, satellite TV, tea and coffer making facilities and modern bathroom facilities. There is FREE Wi-Fi thought the hotel.

On the morning of your choice our tour guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to explore the famous Golden Circle, this small group tour will take you to see the Þingvellir National Park, theGeysir Hot Spring Area with boiling mud pits and the lively Strokkur which spouts water 30 meters into the air every few minutes and the Gullfoss Waterfall. You will then head to Blue Lagoon to bathe in the warm waters before heading back to your hotel.

Once your stay is complete you’ll be transferred back to Keflavik International for your flight back to London.
