This small group two day tour gives you the time to take in the impressive Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. You’ll hike on the Falljkull glacier, getting unbeatable views. You’ll be mesmerised by the giant icebergs floating around the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, as well as the large crystals of ice washed up on the nearby Diamond Beach. You get to explore the moss covered Eldhraun lava fields and incredible Fjarrgljfur gorge. 

You’ll arrive in Iceland from the UK and be transferred to your 3* Hotel in the Capital Reykjavik for a two night stay. Your hotel will have a private bathroom and you can enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning.

On your second day you will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a tour of the famous Golden Circle and enjoy a stop at the wonderful Fontana Wellness Spa.

This amazing day tour takes you around the Golden Circle to see three of Iceland’s highlights Gullfoss waterfall, Geyser geothermal area and Thingvellir National Park, before heading to Fontana’s natural steam baths.

The original sauna was built in the 1920s and was little more than a shack with two compartments, built above the hot spring that bubbles and gurgles below the ground. Today, a modern complex welcomes you to relax with various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by Icelandic hot springs.

Upon arrival in Fontana you will take a short walk with a local person to a nearby natural hot spring which is used as a local natural bakery for the village. You will get to know the methods how to bake a loaf of bread in a hot spring and watch while they dig up a typical Icelandic rye bread which has been slowly baked in the hot spring. Before dipping into the Fontana hot tubs and enjoy the natural steam baths you will be offered to taste the rye bread.

At Fontana you can have drinks while relaxing in the hot spring water and enjoy the spectacular view of the lake before heading back to Reykjavik.

On Day 3 after breakfast you will be picked up for your escorted tour. We head out of the capital towards the South Coast where our first stop will be the Seljalandsfoss, a beautiful waterfall that can be walked behind. We then head to another waterfall and  the iconic, powerful Skogafoss.

Our next stop will be the world famous Reynisfjara Beach, this beautiful black sand beach with powerful ocean waves crashing on the shore makes for an impressive sight with its basalt column rock formations and iconic sea stacks. From the beach we head to the stunning Fjadrargljufur Canyon which offers some nice walking trails and viewpoints

Our final stop of the day will be at Fellsfjara & Diamond beach where icebergs cover the black sand beach. We then head for the Lilja Guesthouse, a wonderful 3 star lodging on a traditional farm, located at the foot of Vatnajökull National Park.

After breakfast we head to the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, this amazing lagoon is full of enormous icebergs floating on the water and covering the black sand beach.

Our next stop where we spend a large part of the day is the Vatnajokull National Park where you can enjoy some spectacular scenery and take a glacier hike on the Falljkull glacier. Before we head back to Reykjavik.

You will be dropped at your hotel and you can spend the evening enjoying the capitals many bars and restaurants before being transferred back to the airport the following day for your flight back to the UK.
