Skaftafell National Park with optional glacier walk
On the route from Reykjavík to Skaftafell national park some of Iceland´s finest natural wonders are to be found, Skaftafell being one of the highlights.
Surrounded by glaciers on three sides, it is a place where you are able to see the highest mountain in Iceland, Hvannadalshnjúkur and take a walk up to the picturesque waterfall, Svartifoss which is surrounded by basalt columns.
For those who are more adventurous there is a possibility to join a 2 hour glacier walk.
PRICING & VALIDITY
Tour costs £129pp and operates daily from June to August. Children under 12 go for free and children 12 to 15 pay half price.
The cost of adding the 2 hour glacier walk is £100pp
Price includes return coach travel and English speaking guide. Time spent in the national park is about 4 hours and remember to bring warm clothes, rain gear and hiking boots are recommended. If you are taking the glacier walk, safety equipment is provided.
