Northern Lights 3 or 4 Nts from Newcastle
Unfortunately there isn't a regular service from Newcastle to Reykjavik (Keflavik). However below is a series of special flights, for alternative dates we can suggest regular flights from Manchester, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
This limited special 3 & 4 Nights Northern Lights break from Newvcastle is a great way to try and see this amazing phenomenon flying from your local airport. You’ll fly direct from East Midlands and stay in a 3* hotel in Reykjavik with a private bathroom, satellite TV and all the amenities you need including a buffet breakfast each morning. With just a handful of departures from Leeds Bradford this winter be sure to book early to avoid missing out.
On the first night (or night of your choice) you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken in search of the Northern light. The expert English speaking guide will have done their home work and plotted the best area to see the lights, so you’ll head out of Reykjavik away from the light pollution in search of the dancing lights.
The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the Icelandic Arctic sky. They are caused by the interaction of particles from the sun with the upper atmosphere near the North Pole. That creates this wonderful light effect, known as the Aurora Borealis.
Of course this tour is depending on weather and sightings are not guaranteed. If you don't see any lights on your tour you are welcome to join the tour again free of charge on the following nights.
This break offers you plenty of time to get a taste of Iceland and explore Reykjavik and whilst the city is fairly small and you can see plenty just walking the city streets, why not take our city tour? You’ll also have time to take in other of the popular tours, why not chill out in the warm water of the famous Blue Lagoon or see some of Iceland’s most spectacular natural sights on the Golden Circle tour or maybe head out into the bay in search of the Whales, the choice is almost endless and you’ll find all the tours and prices in our tour section.
Once it comes to say goodbye to Iceland we’re sure you’ll have loved your Northern Lights break and on the way back to Newcastle you’ll be wishing you were back in Reykjavik.
Transfers are not included in the price of the Northern Lights break, we offer the Flybus plus transfer from Keflavik airport to your hotel and back for just £45pp return.
We can offer the tour with any of the other hotels we feature in our hotel section, just make a request for the hotel of your choice and we’ll get right back to you with a price.
Our prices are based on the cheapest departure date in any month and correct at time of publishing and subject to availability.
